West Fork Stages Workday Runway

Hard hats, scrubs and work uniforms took center stage recently as students at West Fork Elementary School explored careers during the school’s “Workday Runway” event.
Ethan Murphy from Ozarks Electric and Brett Johnson from OzarksGo joined firefighters, medical professionals and others to help
students learn about different career paths. School counselor Dena McKnight said the goal was to feature careers that represented many interests and abilities that require a variety of educational levels.
“Kids are visual,” McKnight said. “The uniforms and tools were the avenue to pique their interest and engage them.”
