Cane Hill Hosts Harvest Festival
Sept. 19 | Historic Cane Hill
Step back in time during the annual Cane Hill Harvest Festival, where Ozark history, local traditions and family fun come together in Cane Hill, about 20 miles southwest of Fayetteville.
The day starts with a country breakfast and features live music, food trucks, an Arts & Eats market, historic building tours and a pie auction. Throughout the day, visitors can watch sorghum pressing with an antique horse-powered mill, browse locally handcrafted goods and enjoy demonstrations of blacksmithing, weaving, lace tatting, beekeeping and other traditional Ozark skills.
Families will find plenty to do in the Kids Zone, while quilt lovers can admire antique and contemporary quilts from across the region. Visitors can also tour the restored 1886 Cane Hill College and 1891 Cane Hill Presbyterian Church and visit the campus’ historic bur oak, a Trail of Tears witness tree.
